Daniel Zack Wins 2025 WSOP Event #96: $3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha
Daniel Zack, a seasoned poker player with four World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets to his name, has added another victory to his impressive resume. Zack clinched the 2025 WSOP Event #96: $3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha, securing a top prize of $471,170 and his fourth WSOP bracelet.
The tournament, which took place over four days at the Horseshoe and Paris in Las Vegas, attracted 1,088 entries. Zack outlasted them all, outplaying his opponents with his strategic moves and dominating the final day.
A Significant Achievement
Zack's latest victory marks a significant achievement in his career. With total live tournament earnings now exceeding $5.1 million, he has solidified his place among the poker greats. His WSOP bracelet wins include a mixed triple draw event in 2011, two $10,000 bracelet wins in Omaha eight-or-better and stud eight-or-better championships during his Player of the Year (POY) year, 2022, and the latest one from the 2025 $3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha six-max event.
A Statement Victory
Interestingly, Zack himself has admitted that Pot-Limit Omaha is not his strongest game. His victory in this event, therefore, can be seen as a testament to his versatility and adaptability as a poker player.
The final hand of the tournament saw Zack and Joshua Ladines, who was eliminated in fourth, both holding flush draws. However, Zack's two pair improved to kings and queens by the river, ensuring his victory. Ladines took home $216,539 for his efforts.
A Dominant Performance
Zack entered the final day second in chips and quickly took control, demonstrating his dominance throughout the day. He stayed aggressive and closed out the tournament without much delay, leaving his opponents struggling to keep up.
Richard Gryko started day four on top but lost ground quickly. Heads-up play started with Zack holding a massive chip lead over Zachary Schwartz, who earned a personal best $314,056 as runner-up.
Despite a relatively quiet summer at the 2025 WSOP, with eight prior cashes but no final tables until this win, Zack's performance in this event was nothing short of impressive. His victory is a testament to his skill, adaptability, and determination, making him a force to be reckoned with in the world of poker.
